The concrete facade mimics tree branches like the trees that line this famous shopping street. It distinguish the building from the numerous glass-curtain-wall commercial projects nearby. The plot of land on allowed for a narrow front facade with the office pushed to the back. It gives the projects it's L shaped layout. In 2011 the land in front and next to the building where being developed. This concrete tree structure has made a big impact on architectureral design in Asia. In China I cannot count the copies i have seen of this facade.
